 Craig Shucker, Aug 2002 - Just when I thought that I'd get a break from writing articles for the Trailblazer, John Melstrom approached me and asked me if I'd be willing to write reviews of the dance material presented at the Trailblazers sessions. He felt that, since he and Carolyn don't dance C-3 and have only just started dancing C-2, someone with more experience at all the levels we dance at Trailblazers should be handling the reporting of this information. I know that John & Carolyn want to do a good job as President and that they're working hard to learn how to keep the club running smoothly and how to keep the dancers happy. I agreed to take on this assignment to allow them to concentrate on the more important matters. Craig Shucker, Nov 24, 2006 - Writing these reviews has been quite demanding time-consuming. I have tried to keep them positive and to provide a service so that callers and dancers can review some exceptional material presented at our dance weekends. However, in the past few years the leadership of our club has strayed from our tradition of excellence and has adapted an attitude that "mediocre is good enough". I am now sorry to say that in many cases this has resulted in less than mediocre presentations and dismal dancing abilities. As a consequence, I find it increasingly difficult to keep a positive attitude and to find noteworthy material to include in my reviews.
