Friday C-3A Dance

John presented a good dance with interesting applications of concepts: 

(1) from parallel lefthand two-faced lines with girls as leading centers and trailing ends -- Cross Concentric Tandem Single Wheel & The Girls Individually Roll

(2) from infacing lines -- Catch Locker's Choice 3 Coordinate

(3) from parallel left-hand ocean waves -- Alter The Wave But Counter Rotate The Diamond 3/4 And Replace Flip The Diamond With Drop Right

(4) from outfacing lines -- Trip The Setter's Percolate

(5) from parallel ocean waves -- Fascinating Lock The Hinge

(6) from a tidal one-faced line -- Finish Grand Single Cross Trade & Wheel

(7) from parallel right-hand single-file columns -- Stable Turn To A Line

(8) from parallel two-faced lines -- Ends Work Stable, All Drift Apart

(9) from a formation formed from infacing lines consisting of sashayed
couples and having all the girls 1/4 Left -- Own The Girls Wind The Bobbin by Scoot Chain Thru To A Wave

(10) from a formation formed from outfacing lines consisting of sashayed couples and having the boys 1/4 Right -- Own The Boys Wind The Bobbin by Perk Up

(11) from a triple column formation formed from a completed double pass thru and having all the dancers slide 1/2 position to the left -- Triple Columns Single Turn To

Saturday A-2 Workshop

John presented our dancers with a challenging program. 

First, he reviewed Acey Deucey from various formations: Trade By, Completed
Double Pass Thru, 3/4 Tag, Twin Diamonds, Interlocked Diamonds, and a formation formed from Interlocked Diamonds and having the Centers Lockit. 

Later from a formation formed from parallel right-hand two-faced lines and having the leads Bend The Line, John workshopped "Do Your Part of Mini Busy".

John also taught the (C-1) Stretch Concept where dancers execute the two- or four-dancer call but the new centers end past the flagpole center down the long axis: 

(1) from parallel ocean waves -- Stretch Explode The Wave, Stretch Recycle, Stretch Single Wheel, Stretch Peel Off

(2) from parallel two-faced lines -- Stretch Wheel & Deal, Stretch Turn & Deal, Stretch Crossfire

(3) from outfacing lines -- Stretch Single Wheel

(4) from a tidal wave -- Stretch Linear Cycle, Switch The Wave

(5) from a left-hand tidal wave -- Stretch Chain Down The Line

(6) from point-to-point diamonds -- Stretch Cut The Diamond

(7) from infacing lines -- Stretch (Facing) Recycle

(4) from a formation formed from outfacing lines and having the centers Face In --

(5) from a 1/4 tag with boys as the outside beaus and as ends of the center wave -- Chain Reaction But Boys When You Meet Swing & Mix

(6) from a left-hand 1/4 tag -- Scoot & Weave Twice

(7) from a tidal wave -- 1/2 Rollaway 3 Times

(8) from standard outfacing lines -- Chase Right But Boys When You Meet Slip, Swing, Slip & Extend

(9) from a 1/4 Tag -- Scoot Chain Thru Twice But Interrupt After Each One With Triple Trade

(10) from parallel right-hand ocean waves -- Motivate But Replace The First Cast Off 3/4 With Left 1/4 Thru

(11) from a tidal two-faced lines, parallel two-faced lines, or outfacing
lines -- Wheel & Deal & 1/4 More

At this dance session John reviewed the Finish Modifier where dancers execute all but the first part of the call: 

(1) from parallel ocean waves -- Finish Relay The Top, Finish Spin Chain The Gears, Finish Percolate, Finish Recycle, Finish Alter The Wave

(2) from outfacing lines -- Finish Load The Boat, Finish Square Chain Thru, Finish Square Chain The Top, Finish Percolate

(3) from a tidal wave -- Finish Tally Ho

(4) from a trade by -- Finish Percolate

(5) from parallel 3-and-1 lines with outfacing ends and with centers with right hands toward the center -- Finish Coordinate

(6) from a formation formed from a completed double pass thru and having the center belles Run Left -- Finish Rotary Spin

This dance session was quite interesting and challenging: 

(1) from an eight chain thru with boys in the center -- All Reverse Truck

(2) from a formation formed from a standard completed double pass thru and having
the girls (belles) 1/4 In -- Do Your Part, Boys Walk Out To A Wave, Girls Pass The Ocean

(3) from a Siamese ocean wave with couples as the ends -- Siamese Cross Roll To A Wave & Siamese Roll & Spread

(4) from a formation formed from infacing lines and having the belles 1/4 Right -- 1/2 Crazy Trail To A Diamond

(5) from a trade by -- Finish Chain The Square

(6) from triple right-hand waves with the outermost dancers facing out -- Triple Waves Swap The Wave

(7) from a parallelogram trade by with the outermost dancers as beaus -- Triple Box Turn To A Line

(8) from parallel ocean waves with boys as the leaders -- Do Your Part, Girls Perk Up, Boys Scoot & Weave
