Friday C-3A Dance

Vic once again demonstrated his remarkable creativity: 

(1) from facing same-sex couples -- Swap The Top

(2) from a tidal inverted line -- Spin Chain The Line Twice

(3) from parallel left-hand two-faced lines -- Finally Triple Box, Wheel The Sea

(4) from an eight chain thru -- Split Phantom Lines Plan Ahead

(5) from parallel single file eight chain columns separated by and parallel to two phantom columns -- Split Phantom Column Grand Chain 8

(6) from an as couples tidal wave (1x16) with the real dancers as the outermost two-faced lines -- As Couples Relay The Shadow

(7) from parallelogram ocean waves with the outermost dancers facing in  -- Parallelogram 3/4 The Deucey

(8) from a formation formed from a right-hand 1/4 tag formation and having the Outside Belles Quarter Left -- in the center six, those facing start Split Dixie Style To A Wave

(9) from a formation formed from parallel right-hand single-file columns and having the Centers Peel To A Diamond -- Interlocked Plenty

(10) from a formation formed from parallel left-hand single-file columns and having the Centers Trail To A Diamond -- Release Lockit

(11) from a formation formed from a static square and having the Sides Pass The Ocean and The Side Boys Press Ahead as the Heads Trade -- Boys Work As Couples, Outside Six Rally

(12) sequence:  from a formation formed from parallel single-file columns with the sides as centers and having all but the #4 dancers Press Ahead

Saturday A-2 Workshop

Vic taught the C-1 call "Switch The Line" (same definition as Switch The Wave) from outfacing lines and parallel 3-and-1 lines.  Other calls reviewed included the following: 

(1) from double pass thru -- Left Track 2

(2) from a static square -- All 4 Couples Square Thru 3

(3) from a right-hand tidal wave -- Partner Tag

(4) from a trade by -- Finish Pass & Roll

(5) from infacing lines -- Half Sashay 1 & 1/2

(6) from a double pass thru, completed double pass thru, parallel single-file columns, parallel ocean waves, and T-bone boxes -- Trail Off

(7) from parallel single-file columns -- Peel & Trail Twice

(8) from parallel single-file columns and parallel ocean waves -- Peel The Top

Vic also used quite a few interesting asymmetric sequences at this and the following sessions throughout the rest of the weekend.

Saturday A-2 Dance

Vic used some of the calls from the workshop session, but had plenty of  additional interesting material:

Sunday C-1 dance

This session proved particularly challenging especially since some of the starting formations were unfamiliar to many of the dancers: 

(1) from parallel ocean waves -- Split Circulate 1 & 1/2 Chain Thru

(2) from a formation formed from a tidal line and having the Very Ends U-Turn Back -- Ah So

(3) from T-bones formed from infacing lines and having the Ends Quarter In -- All Swap Around

(4) from T-bones formed from parallel right-hand two-faced lines and having the Leaders Quarter Out -- Triple Box Wheel Thru

(5) from T-bones formed from parallel right-hand two-faced lines and having the Trailers Quarter Out -- Triple Box Follow Thru

(6) from various T-bone blocks - Blocks Counter Rotate

(7) from infacing lines, parallel inverted lines with ends facing out, and from a formation formed from parallel two-faced lines and having everyone Circulate & Roll and the new centers Circulate -- Percolate

(8) from parallel inverted lines with ends facing out -- Any Hand Swing The Fractions

(9) from parallel inverted lines with ends facing in -- Tally Ho

(10) from parallel two-faced lines -- Concentric 1/2 Walk & Dodge

(11) from magic columns -- Magic Grand Follow Thru

(12) from a triple box formation formed from parallel ocean waves and having everyone Triple Box Partner Trade -- Triple Box Scoot & Weave

(13) from T-bones formed from infacing lines and having the Belles Quarter Right -- Scatter Scoot Chain Thru

(14) from a formation formed from a right-hand 3/4 tag and having the Centers Switch To A Diamond -- Plenty

(15) from an "I" consisting of a center right-hand ocean wave and back-to-back end dancers -- Regroup

(16) from an "I" consisting of a center right-hand ocean wave and outfacing end couples -- Linear Action

(17) from an "I" consisting of a center right-hand ocean wave and outfacing end couples -- Little

(18) from an "I" consisting of a center single eight chain thru and outfacing end couples -- Trade By

(4) from a thar -- Cross The K

(5) from a formation formed from a tidal wave and having the Very Ends U-Turn Back -- Stretched Line Cycle & Wheel

(6) from a formation formed from an eight chain thru and having the Outside Beaus Quarter Right -- Funny Pass In 4

(7) from a formation formed from a 3/4 tag and having Everyone Partner Tag -- Right Roll To A Wave, Centers Twice

(8) from a triple column completed double pass thru with the outermost dancers as beaus -- Triple Column Tandem Right Roll To A Wave

(9) from parallel single-file columns with boys as the leaders in each box -- Once Removed In Tandem Boys Run

(10) from a formation formed from parallel two-faced lines and having the Center Leaders Cross Fold and the Center Trailers 1/2 Press Ahead -- Some Work Tandem, Tandem-Based Triangles Peel & Trail
