Friday C-3A Dance

Anne presented a nice mix of calls and concepts.  Some of her more interesting material included:

(1) from a completed double pass thru -- Reach Out

(2) from parallel right-hand ocean waves -- Travel Thru

(3) from a double pass thru -- Counter Couple Up

(4) from an eight chain thru -- Scatter Couple Up

(5) from an eight chain thru -- Finally Tandem, Pass & Roll

(6) from a 1/4 tag -- Finally As Couples, Follow Thru 3 times

(7) from outfacing lines -- Split Phantom Lines Load The Boat

(8) from an eight chain thru -- Split Phantom Columns Rotary Spin

(9) from a tidal wave -- Once Removed Centers Cross Kick Off

(10) from phantom infacing lines with the real dancers as the left-hand couple -- Phantom Fascinate

(11) from phantom infacing lines with the real dancers as the left-hand couple -- Phantom Chisel Thru but Replace the last part with Reverse Swap Around

(12) from a tidal two-faced line -- Two-Faced Relay The Shadow and Two-Faced Spin Chain The Line (actually C-3B but most dancers had no problem with the concept).

Saturday A-2 Workshop

Anne workshopped some familiar calls from some positions that were not so familiar to some of our dancers:

(1) from infacing lines, parallel inverted lines, and an eight chain thru -- Crossover Circulate

(2) from infacing lines, outfacing lines, an eight chain thru, and a trade by -- Split Counter Rotate

Other calls that caused some problems included:

(3) from a static square -- Heads Start Left Split Square Chain Thru

(4) from a right-hand 1/4 tag -- Chain Reaction but Replace the Cast Off 3/4 with a Left Swing Thru

Anne added some more calls to keep things interesting:

(1) from an eight chain thru -- Eight Chain 4 & 1/2

(2) from a left-hand 1/4 tag -- Ping Pong Circulate

(3) from a completed double pass thru -- Left Track 2

(4) from parallel 3-and-1 lines with infacing ends and the centers in right-hand mini-waves -- Coordinate

(5) from parallel two-faced lines -- Motivate

(6) from a formation formed from parallel single-file columns and having the centers Box Counter Rotate -- Finish Motivate

(7) from various parallel lines -- Beaus Trade/Belles Trade

Sunday C-1 dance

This was primarily a dance session.  Some of the more interesting calls Anne used included:

(1) from outfacing lines -- Concentric Shakedown

(2) from an eight chain thru -- Left Rotary Spin

(3) from a trade by -- Stretch Chase Right

(4) from same-hand point-to-point diamonds -- Stretch Cut The Diamond

(5) from a tidal wave -- Stretch Recycle

(6) from a tidal wave -- Stretch Linear Cycle

(7) from a tidal two-faced line -- Stretch Crossfire

Sunday C-2 Dance

This session was primarily a dance session.  Some of the more challenging calls included:

(1) from parallel right-hand ocean waves -- Catch 3

(2) from parallel ocean waves -- Cross Concentric Trail to a Diamond

(3) from various parallel lines -- Single Rotate and Reverse Single Rotate.

NOTE - In each session Anne sprinkled in a few asymmetric sequences.  Some callers who write asymmetric sequences use obvious, unimaginative ways to resolve the asymmetry.  I found Anne's sequences particularly enjoyable because she made the effort to find subtle, clever resolutions.
