Saturday A-2 Workshop

ill's theme was "parts", concentrating on both fractionalizing of calls into parts, and dancers doing their part of specified calls:

(1) from a right- or left-hand box -- Scoot Back 1 & 1/2

(2) from a 1/4 tag -- 3/5 or 4/5 Scoot Chain Thru

(3) from an eight chain thru -- Pass & Roll 3/4

(4) from parallel ocean waves -- Finish Linear Cycle

(5) from parallel ocean waves, a tidal wave, or infacing lines -- Finish Recycle

(6) from a formation from parallel 3-and-1 lines with outfacing centers and ends with left hands toward the center and having the mini-wave dancers Hinge -- Do Your Part: Mini-Wave Dancers Split Counter Rotate; Couple Dancers: Left Turn & Deal

(7) from parallel 3-and-1 lines with infacing centers and end with their right hands toward the center -- Do Your Part: Mini-Wave Dancers Recycle; Couple Dancers (a) Wheel Thru; (b) Belles Walk, Beaus Dodge, or (c) Flutter Wheel.  Bill also tried using "Finish A Square Chain Thru" which caused several debated throughout the remainder of the weekend:  Is the Quarter In included in the first or second part of the call?  To my knowledge, there does not seem to be a consensus among callers regarding this issue.
