A-2 Workshop & Dance | C-1 & C-2 Dances | C-3A Dance

Friday C-3A Dance

Dave's material was quite challenging.  Scoot the Gamut from parallel ocean waves, Once Removed Pass the Ocean from infacing lines, and Interlocked Exchange the Diamonds from interlocked diamonds caused quite a bit of initial confusion.  Also from 3-and-1 lines with facing centers and ends with their right hands to the center, several dancers had problems with Own the Ends Couple Up By Wheel Thru.  Other interesting calls used were Triple Box Follow To A Diamond and several calls involving triple point-to-point diamonds.  I also found it notable that Dave put a lot of work into his getouts.  Nearly every sequence ended at or very near home.

Saturday A-2 Workshop & Dance

Dave shared a story as to how a fishing trip led him to develop a new call named "Bait My Hook".   He then defined and used this three-part call: Peel Off, Bend the Line, and Fan the Top.   Other calls and concepts workshopped included And 1/4 More, Left Square Chain Thru, Cast Right 3/4, Cast Left 3/4, 2/3 Pass The Ocean, Reverse Order Remake, and 3/4 Chain Down The Line  from twin diamonds.  He also cued some C-1 calls: several Triple Box calls, All 8 Counter Rotate, Acey Deucey Chain Thru, Concentric Pass The Ocean, Concentric Recycle, Concentric Wheel & Deal.

Sunday C-1 & C-2 Dances

Dave introduced Bait My Hook to the C-1 dancers.  He used it with more fractionalizations and variations.   He also taught Bits & Pieces (from various parallel lines with the centers as mini-waves: Ends "O" Circulate 2 and Trade; Centers Peel & Trail and Ah So.)   Other calls covered were Tally Ho and Chain Reaction from various formations, Finish Motivate, Finish Coordinate and Finish Tally Ho.  For the C-2 portion Dave used a substantial number of "Do Your Part" combinations.

PS: In case you were not aware, Dave has been ailing for some time and was scheduled to have his gall bladder removed a day or two after he called for Trailblazers.  I think I speak for all Trailblazers in wishing Dave a speedy recovery.
