A-2 Workshop & Dance | C-1 & C-2 Dances | C-3A dance

Friday C-3A Dance

George called a challenging dance utilizing a wide variety of calls and concepts.  He presented some clever calls utilizing Split Phantom Columns/Lines/Waves and Big Blocks.  His use of Drift Apart from some T-bone formations left some dancers looking bewildered.  The sequence that prompted the most discussion were the calls Phantom Switch the Diamond and Phantom Inpoint Triangle Chain Thru starting from C-1-type phantom right-hand waves with the real dancers as the infacing ends and outfacing centers.  The intended final formation was a squared set with all dancers in right-hand mini-waves.  Many of the dancers apparently had different interpretations.

Saturday A-2 Workshop & Dance

George workshopped two concepts in depth.  Using the Grand concept he covered 1/4 Thru, Swing Thru, Scoot & Dodge, Scoot & Weave, 1/2 Tag, Mix, and Swing & Mix.  With the All 4 Couples/All 8 Concept he covered Dixie Style To A Wave, Swing Thru, 1/4 Thru, Pass & Roll, Pass The Ocean, Pass The Sea, 1/4 In, 1/4 Out, Pass In, and Pass Out.  He also used the Interrupt concept and cued the C-1 concepts Concentric and Triple Box.  Many of the workshopped calls were used in the evening session.
