A-2 Workshop & Dance | C-1 & C2 Dances | C-3A Dance

Friday C-3A Dance

Unlike many callers at the C-3 level who seem to have favorite calls that they use over and over, Darryl called a great C-3 dance well-distributed assortment of calls and concepts from the list.  He used a few interesting combinations utilizing the Own the (Anyone) concept.  The concept that caused the most discussion at the dance was his use of  Leading  and Trailing Apex Triangles.

Saturday A-2 Workshop & Dance

Darryl did a marvelous job of keeping the floor dancing .  This was especially remarkable because of all the higher-level material that he used.  However, he didn't present the material as higher level calls; he simply cued it and the dancers executed it.  Here are the higher level calls and concepts that I noticed he used: Split Recycle, Change Lanes, Stretch Recycle, Stretch Cycle & Wheel, Step & Fold, Split Dixie Style,  Triple Cross,  Turn to a Line, (Anything) Motivate,  Jay Box Concept from a 1/4 Line formation, Concentric Concept, Triple Box Concept, and Checkpoint Concept.  Darryl also workshopped Left Square Chain Thru, T-bone Follow Your Neighbor, 6 by 2 Acey Deucey from point-to-point diamonds,  Checkmate from double pass thru and  completed double pass thru formations,  3 by 1 and 2 by 1 Transfer the Column, and Chain Reaction from various starting formations.

Sunday C-1 & C-2 Dances

I was unable to attend the Sunday sessions, so I asked Sheldon Raizes to take notes for me.  From his notes it is unclear which material was used at which sessions, but the sessions must have been very interesting.   The concepts Darryl covered were Leading and Trailing Apex Triangles, Interlocked Diamonds, Interlocked Triangles, Disconnected and Once Removed.
